Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several awards and grants. She has worked with a variety of government agencies and institutions around the globe on research and policies relating to child victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
